The Jazz BeCuzz Art Center was founded in 2014 by Candace Mahogany Miller (with the encouragement and support of Dallas Jazz Legend Jason Davis) as a safe and diverse space for families to enjoy fine and cultural arts while exploring contemporary ways to pioneer and create music, literature and movement. Candace, since the age of 11 began to nurture her overwhelming passion for the arts and the need for any and every child to be extending the opportunity to experience to create and learn artistically. After 4 years of developing its programming and relationship with the community, Jazz BeCuzz Arts Group became incorporated in 2018 as a public 501c3 nonprofit organization. Jazz BeCuzz has made a notable impact on the DFW metroplex through performances, programming and workshops throughout the various communities and by providing education, at the Jazz BeCuzz Art Center as well as throughout the Dallas/ Ft Worth metroplex and even abroad via its virtual events and programs. The staff and educators with the Jazz Becuzz Organization carry a collective wealth of over 50 years of arts education, mentorship and development.
